Loxford Hall, Ilford, London

Project Type: Affordable Housing

Loxford Hall is a locally listed building. It was built around 1840 as a detached house and from the 1860s underwent a series of extensions and alterations.

Its last use was a Clinic and our brief was its full refurbishment and conversion to 4 2bed flats with 2 modern side extensions to provide a 3 and 4 bedroom dwelling.
The side extensions were finished externally in zinc standing seam cladding with aluminium windows to clearly distinguish them from the original building.

The project was completed to a very high standard with materials carefully chosen to preserve the historic building.
